In light of the recent tragedies at SCTEX and NAIA, we’re reminded that life is too short to hold back love, forgiveness, or time with those who matter most.
In recent days, devastating road accidents at SCTEX and NAIA have left us shaken. Lives were lost in an instant—some still young, some in the prime of their lives, and others leaving behind grieving spouses, orphaned children, and unfinished stories.
It’s during moments like these when the world slows down and reminds us of what truly matters: love, forgiveness, and presence.
💛 Life Is a Vapor—Love While You Can
James 4:14 reminds us: “You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.”
We plan so much for the future, but forget how fleeting the present is. The people we love are not guaranteed to be with us tomorrow. So let’s not hold back the kind words, the warm hugs, the undivided attention.
Let your love be loud and your affection intentional.
🤍 Forgive as You Have Been Forgiven
Many of us carry offenses and unresolved pain. Yet Scripture teaches, “Bear with each other and forgive one another… Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:13)
If tragedy teaches us anything, it’s that grudges pale in comparison to love lost. Choose reconciliation. Choose peace. You don’t need closure to extend grace—only humility and the desire to walk in the freedom Christ offers.
⏳ Be Fully Present—Time Is Sacred
Jesus often paused to be with people—really with them. Whether it was dinner at a tax collector’s house or a moment with a grieving family, He showed us what it means to be present.
Our lives today are noisy—emails, tasks, screens. But when tragedy hits, what we crave isn’t productivity—it’s presence. Being emotionally and spiritually available to those around us is one of the greatest gifts we can give.
🕊 To Those Who Are Grieving
If you’ve lost someone in these recent incidents—or are still reeling from another sudden loss—know this: God sees you. God weeps with you.
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
There may be no earthly comfort that feels “enough” right now. But God’s comfort doesn’t always erase the pain—it simply enters it, walks with us through it, and carries us when we can’t take another step.
🛣 A Call to Live Differently
Let these tragedies not just break our hearts—but shape them.
Love like Christ. Forgive like you’ve been forgiven. Be present like it’s your last hour on earth. Because it might be.
Let’s not wait for another siren, another headline, another loss to open our eyes. Choose now. Love now. Forgive now. Be here now.
Written in remembrance of lives lost on SCTEX and near NAIA. May their memory be a call to all of us to live more like Jesus—with love, grace, and eternal purpose.
A Quote to Carry With You:
“In the end, what matters most is how well you loved, how well you lived, and how well you let go of things not meant for you.”
Scripture Reflection:
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” – Psalm 90:12
Before You Go, Reflect On This:
If today were your last, who would you love harder, forgive faster, or spend more time with?
I definitely believe forgiveness is important. It’s not just about excusing the other person it’s more about freeing yourself from the weight of what they did. Forgiveness helps you move forward. Now, some people may not seem to deserve it, but letting go is often the only way to release yourself from that emotional hold and truly find peace
Forgiveness is important but then this depends on the situation. Not all situations are forgivable and some can take time.
That quote ‘ in the end what matters most is how well you loved..’ resonates so well. Its so important to embrace each day with love, positivity & hope.
I agree that it’s so important to be present and to forgive. Life is way too short!
I try to forgive. But if someone hurts me enough, it’s tough. Some people do not deserve forgiveness.
