As I prepare for the election this Monday, I find myself pausing in reflection—not just about platforms and promises, but about purpose. About who I am casting this vote for.
I am not just voting as a Filipino citizen.
I am voting as a mother.
A mother who prays for a brighter, safer, more compassionate country for her children to grow up in. A mother who wants to raise her kids in a nation where truth is upheld, justice is served, education is prioritized, and hope is restored.

Each time I hold my son or my daughter’s hand, I feel the weight of responsibility—not just to nurture and guide them at home, but to help shape the kind of world they will inherit. That world begins with the leaders we choose.
We often hear the phrase, “vote wisely.” But what does it really mean?
It means taking the time to discern—not voting out of convenience, popularity, or emotion. It means looking at character, not just charisma. It means asking: “Will this person fight for our future? Will they lead with integrity? Will they serve with heart?”
This is a call for shared responsibility.
We can’t leave our country’s future to chance. Nor can we place it entirely in the hands of whoever wins. We, the people, are responsible too. The future we desire is a future we help build—not just on election day, but every day after that.
To my fellow parents, professionals, students, and everyday Filipinos: this is our chance to be heard. Let’s honor this moment with courage and clarity. Let’s show our children what responsible citizenship looks like.
This Monday, I cast my vote not just for today’s needs, but for tomorrow’s dreams.
For my children. For your children. For every child who deserves more.

Let’s vote with wisdom. Let’s vote with heart. Let’s vote with purpose.
We have to vote keeping our future, our children’s futures in mind, not just for the immediate and short term.. so here is hoping you have a smooth election and the results that you want
It’s so important to stay informed and involved, especially with the upcoming election and all the key changes 🙂. Thanks for sharing!
Voting is a very important thing that everyone who can should do. Selecting the correct person is very important, hope all goes well!
I really hope the results work in your favour, As mums we want the best outcome for our families.
We had elections last weekend as well and it was a proper fight. We had to choose between an extremist hooligan and a decent man. I’m still shocked that almost half of my country wanted to have a hooligan as a president. Fortunately, we have more brains in the country than an-alphabets and the decent man won.
Voting is so important it holds the future of our children. So sad USA didn’t think to do the right things when it came to voting.
Yes, we should vote for and pray and for the future of our children.
These are the things I think about all the time, for elections and other things going on in the world. All very valid points.
It’s so important to stay aware of the process and the key issues shaping a country’s future. I appreciate how clearly everything was explained.
I hope the election goes better for you than it did for me in the US. We elected an actual criminal and it’s been horrible ever since.
