I usually buy kernel corns, add evaporated milk ( or non-fat milk ) and cube ice so I can enjoy a “Maiz Con Hielo” or “mais con yelo” . But whenever I need a comfort food, I either prepare a crab corn soup or a corn chowder. Here are the ingredients you’ll be needing:
Bacon and MEGA Prime Corn Chowder Ingredients:
2 425g cans #MegaPrime Whole Kernel Corn
2 cups potatoes, diced
1 tbsp. butter
¼ cup onion, dice
½ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 ½ cups boiling water
2 cups hot milk
1 tbsp. flour, mixed with 1 tbsp. water
2 tbsps. green onions, chopped
- In a large pot, combine all ingredients except milk and flour mixture.
- Cook until potatoes are tender.
- Add milk and flour mixture. Stir well. Bring to a slow boil and cook for 10 minutes.
- Stir in green onions and serve hot.
